Hermit Trail to Dripping Springs

Join hikers of long ago along this historic trail which served as the main way of inner Canyon travel during the early 1900s. The trail was originally built by Santa Fe Railroad as a route to Hermit Camp.
The hike begins by passing through impressive fossil beds of limestone and sandstone, leading you to Waldron Basin. Next, you will continue to Dripping Springs, steadily leaking into a sandstone alcove.
This trip is 7-miles long, ranks in difficulty as a six out of ten, and is led by experienced tour guides. Moderate physical fitness is strongly recommended as well as a good pair of comfortable tennis shoes or hiking boots.
